The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion will be staying in place for another few seasons.
Per the Associated Press’ Jenna Fryer on Wednesday, Brad Keselowski has signed a contract extension with Penske Racing through 2017. Additionally, sponsor Miller Lite will stay through then as well.
“I feel like together, Roger and I have done some great things. I have a lot of confidence in him, I like the way he treats me and hopefully he would say the same about me,” Keselowski told the AP. “It makes me feel very comfortable to go the extra mile to sign a long-term deal.”
The deal for Miller Lite is an interesting one because it will no longer sponsor the iconic “blue deuce” for all 36 Sprint Cup races. Miller Lite will sponsor for 24 of the 36, with the additional 12 left aside as another area to increase revenue stream.
“We looked at going into markets twice, in fact, it was my idea, let us have those markets we got into a second time and give us a chance to bring in another world-class company. We have a number of people very interested in getting on with Brad,” Roger Penske told the AP.
This should leave just Menards (Paul Menard) and GoDaddy (Danica Patrick) as full-season sponsors for the entire 36-race slate.
