MotorSportsTalk admittedly hasn’t paid much attention to the more, let’s say, “action-oriented” side of racing competition. But this clip just begs to be seen.
Ford rally driver Ken Block has been setting the Internet on fire for years with his series of “Gymkhana” driving videos, in which he spins, jumps and zips through obstacle courses. Now, the sixth installment of the series has been released and this looks as if it’ll go viral in short order.
For this edition, Block created a Gymkhana Grid course that features some inspirations from the upcoming video game “Need For Speed: Rivals,” which he has worked on as an advisor.
The challenges that he and his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta face through the course are diverse, from squeezing through tight shipping containers to spinning around various objects such as a spiked wrecking ball, elevated backhoes, a pair of Lamborghini sports cars and two cops on Segways.
Yes, you read that right. Now stop reading, watch the clip above, and you’ll understand why you’re seeing more and more “Block 43” T-shirts on teenagers every time you’re at the mall.
