Helio Castroneves and the fence at Indianapolis Motor Speedway have a very intimate relationship.
Three times the Brazilian driver leapt onto the structure after winning the Indianapolis 500 to celebrate as fans cheered him on. Castroneves earned the nickname “Spider-Man” thanks to his celebrations in 2001, 2002 and 2009.
On Wednesday, “Spider-Man” took to the fence again, but this time it was to help finish the renovations to the barrier as part of a track-wide project timed to the 100th running of the Indy 500.
Who better to help finish the new fencing at IMS than @h3lio?? Who wants to see him climb the fence a 4th time? pic.twitter.com/6jJH0MZIIe

That wasn’t the only honor Castroneves received this week. On Tuesday, the Team Penske driver was presented with a framed piece of the old IMS fence complete with pictures of Castroneves celebrating his three Indy 500 wins.
