LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Verizon IndyCar Series heads to its crown jewel street course, the streets of Long Beach, for the third round of the 2016 season.

You can watch all the action from Long Beach LIVE on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra starting at 4 p.m. ET. Estimated “Drivers, start your engines!” and green flag times are 4:38 and 4:45 p.m. ET (1:38 and 1:45 p.m. PT and local time), respectively.

Rick Allen joins analysts Townsend Bell and Paul Tracy in the NBCSN booth, with Marty Snider, Kevin Lee, Katie Hargitt and Robin Miller in the pits.

Helio Castroneves picked up his second Verizon P1 Award of the season in a truncated qualifying session on Saturday, edging out 2015 Long Beach winner and series champion Scott Dixon in the final Fast Six shootout.

Qualifying offered little in the way of major surprises as Penske once again got its quartet of cars into the final stage, yet with Dixon P2 and Chip Ganassi Racing teammate Tony Kanaan starting fourth, the race is far from being a foregone conclusion.

With early championship leader Simon Pagenaud third and the ever-present dual threat of Juan Pablo Montoya and Will Power fifth and sixth, the stage is set for a thrilling fight at the front of the pack on Sunday.

Again, that’s 4 p.m. ET for LIVE coverage from Long Beach for Round 3 of the IndyCar season.
