After winning the biggest race on the planet, Indianapolis 500 champion and Verizon IndyCar Series rookie of the year Alexander Rossi will be returning to his roots later this month.

Rossi, fellow IndyCar driver Conor Daly and several other current or former race car drivers will compete in the 2016 SKUSA SuperNationals kart race in Las Vegas, Nov. 16-20.

Rossi will team with his first karting coach, Matt Jaskol, for the Italian team Factory CRG, according to RacingNews.co. Both drivers will compete in the KZ Pro and S1 classes, according to the website. Here’s RacingNews.co’s original story on the event:

Jaskol coached Rossi for his first season in karting when the latter was only 10 years old.

“This is where it all began and for me to give back to the foundation and roots of my profession is something I really look forward to,” Rossi, driver of the No. 98 Andretti-Herta Autosport Honda in the Verizon IndyCar Series, told RacingNews.co. “Matt was and is an inspiration to me and a really big part of the reason I took the next step in racing.

“He’s an incredible go-kart driver and champion and it’s a huge honor to finally be racing with him and I’m very thankful we have the support of the World Champion Factory CRG team.”
