Graham Rahal and Aly Raisman kicked off their 2017 seasons with a pit stop at the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic held Tuesday in St. Louis.

Rahal wears his heart on his sleeve for a couple of his favorite teams. The driver of the No. 15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda in the Verizon IndyCar Series is a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, who unfortunately for Rahal were shellacked the other night in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, 31-0, at the hands of the Clemson Tigers.

Meanwhile one of his other favorites is the Columbus Blue Jackets, arguably the hottest team in the NHL at the moment. While the Blue Jackets weren’t in St. Louis Tuesday - that honor fell to the Chicago Blackhawks - Rahal was still there to take in one of the annual outdoor games.

Raisman, meanwhile, also joined up for the day. She’s the second-most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast ever, having won three medals as a member of Team Bridgestone at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and grew up a huge hockey fan in the Boston area. Raisman’s interview during the game is below.

The St. Louis Blues delivered a 4-1 over the ‘Hawks on Tuesday - more here from Pro Hockey Talk.

IndyCar races at Gateway Motorsports Park near St. Louis, in Madison, Ill., on August 26.
