Bolivia celebrates the halfway mark of the 2017 Dakar Rally and provides a much needed boost of energy to its competitors.

There’s nothing better than getting to watch the Dakar Rally through the eyes of the competitors. Watch the best clips from the first week of competition.

With the competitors granted a much-needed rest day, take a look back at how the competition has held up thus far. One American, Ricky Brabec, remains in Week 2 at 21st overall in bikes. Brabec then won stage seven, his first stage win.

The 2017 Dakar Rally began with 317 competitors and only 246 will begin the second leg, but not many have had to overcome what quadruple amputee Philippe Croizon has to try and complete the trek.
