Highlights from Wednesday night’s coverage of the 2017 Dakar Rally on NBCSN are below, covering the eighth stage.

Stage nine was cancelled and stage 10 resumes today.

In cars, Sebastien Loeb secured his third win out of seven stages so far in the Dakar Rally to maintain his overall lead.

On bikes, Spain’s Juan Barreda becomes the first bike rider to win two stages at the 2017 Dakar Rally.

In trucks,  Martin Van Den Brink of the Netherlands claims his second Dakar Rally stage of 2017.

Chile’s Ignacio Casale wins Stage 8 to make the overall standings in quads a three-horse race.

Nearly 550 competitors began the early 5,600-mile long race 15 days ago and concluded Saturday.
