Formal confirmation of Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park’s arrival on Red Bull Global Rallycross’ 2017 season has come today, the series having confirmed a doubleheader weekend with separate races June 3 and June 4. Both races are scheduled for 5 pm. ET, each day, on NBC.

The track is located west of Providence and south of Worcester, and will be a combo oval/road course track layout also incorporating the series’ signature 70-foot jump.

“All of us at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park are eagerly anticipating Red Bull Global Rallycross’ inaugural visit to Connecticut’s quiet corner,” said Josh Vanada, TSMP general manager. “This segment of motorsports, which is rapidly growing, fits perfectly with our commitment to innovation—even after 76 years of excellence in motorsports. We’re grateful to the folks at GRC for working with us to bring their world-class series and talented drivers to Thompson. We look forward to seeing everyone in June.”

Indianapolis, Atlantic City and Seattle will also host doubleheader weekends.
