Swedish jack-of-all-trades racing driver Felix Rosenqvist will make his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June after signing with the DragonSpeed LMP2 squad.

Rosenqvist has raced in pretty much every car imaginable over the past three years, ranging from Formula 3 and Formula E to GT3 and DTM.

Rosenqvist’s two main programs in 2017 will be Formula E with Mahindra and Super Formula in Japan, but he will make an appearance at Le Mans in June with DragonSpeed.

Rosenqvist will share driving duties in the ORECA-Gibson with Henrik Hedman and Ben Hanley, joining DragonSpeed for its first entry to Le Mans.

“Racing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans has always been a dream of mine. It’s one of the world’s most famous races, and to drive a sports prototype on that particular track I’m sure will be something very, very special,” Rosenqvist said.

“I had my first taste of 24-hour racing at Spa last year and it was a truly standout experience, so I can’t wait to find out what Le Mans – the most prestigious one of all – is like.

“I’m looking forward to working with DragonSpeed to try and achieve a strong result, and I’d like to thank them for giving me this opportunity.”
