Nationwide Insurance brought Chase Elliott, the final NASCAR Nationwide Series champion, and his No. 9 JR Motorsports team out to its home base in Columbus, Ohio yesterday to take part in a day of activities in and around the city.
According to NASCAR.com’s Kenny Bruce, Elliott and the team visited patients at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital, took part in an NWI “Marketing U” panel discussion, and also toured both the Nationwide Arena (home of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets) and the Ohio State University’s Woody Hayes Athletic Complex. The 9 camp was also in attendance for last night’s Blue Jackets win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Blue Jackets produced a video detailing Elliott and the team’s visit, and you can check that out at the top. Below is a smattering of social media photos from the day as well.
