McLaren and title sponsor Vodafone will end their partnership at the end of the 2013 Formula 1 season. Vodafone has served as the team’s title sponsor since 2007, when Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton drove for the team.
McLaren has indicated it will make an “exciting announcement” on December 2, after the season, to determine future sponsorship plans.
“We’re immensely proud that, having been set a number of ambitious challenges by Vodafone back in 2007, together we’ve met or exceeded each and every one,” said team principal Martin Whitmarsh.
Hamilton won the 2008 World Driver’s Championship in dramatic fashion, but McLaren has not won a Constructor’s Championship since 1998.
