Sometimes you get thrilling races, and occasionally, you get relative duds. This weekend presented three of the latter on the first weekend since Monaco where all three major motorsports series were all in action.
This is nothing to take away from the dominant efforts put forth by Helio Castroneves and Team Penske (Texas Motor Speedway, IZOD IndyCar Series), Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing (Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Formula One) and Jimmie Johnson and Hendrick Motorsports (Pocono Raceway, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series).
But for one reason or another, the “shows” were not as strong Saturday or Sunday as there have been at these tracks in recent years.
