In what might be the year’s most perfect match of entertainment program to NASCAR paint scheme, Clint Bowyer will drive the No. 15 “Duck Dynasty” Toyota this weekend at Watkins Glen International. Bowyer’s love of the outdoors and hunting is well-documented.
Bowyer, who admitted he has had three tough race weekends in a row and tweeted he was “happy to be off flat tracks for a while,” still sits second in points behind erstwhile dominant NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship leader Jimmie Johnson.
It’s not the first time something involving ducks will be present at a race this year, but it is the first time it’s been planned. Earlier this year at the IndyCar weekend in Detroit, a family of ducks crossing the track caused a red flag in a practice session.
Here’s the tweet from Bowyer that sums up how excited he is to have this car this weekend.
