Sebastian Vettel is a man on a mission. Currently enjoying a fifty-three point lead in the drivers’ championship, the German driver is hoping to tighten his grip on the title by claiming a third consecutive win in Singapore that could put paid to any hopes his rivals may have had of stopping him from taking a fourth crown. However, nursing a troublesome gearbox from Monza, Vettel may not have it all his own way especially with Nico Rosberg in close company on the front row. Having impressed in qualifying, Romain Grosjean starts an excellent third ahead of Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton, whilst Fernando Alonso struggled and will line up in P7.
