Sprint Cup squad Front Row Motorsports will be keeping the services of David Ragan and David Gilliland for next year, but its third driver, former USAC standout Josh Wise, is moving on.
Wise confirmed the move on his Twitter account earlier this morning, saying that he was “super thankful” for his time at Front Row but also that it “was time to make a change.”
As for Front Row, they made the following statement today on its Facebook page regarding Wise’s departure and the future of the No. 35 car that he drove in all but one race this season (Michael McDowell raced it at Watkins Glen in August):
Wise competed in 65 Cup races over the past two seasons with Front Row, but could only come up with a top result of 19th at Talladega this past May – the same race that saw his now ex-teammates Ragan and Gilliland finish first and second in one of the most stunning outcomes of the season.
In 69 Cup starts overall, Wise has yet to collect a single Top-10 finish.
