Caterham releases a series of cryptic tweets on Friday

We’ve written here before about Lotus’ social media presence, and the polarizing reaction it gets. Turns out the team formerly known as Lotus, but not the original Lotus, can play the social media strategy game too.

Caterham has already announced it will premiere its new car on the first day of the Jerez test on January 28, and plans to attend all three preseason tests. But notably, it hasn’t announced either of its drivers yet for the 2014 Formula One season.

Ruminations on possible contenders are its 2013 drivers (Charles Pic, Giedo van der Garde), experienced veterans (Heikki Kovalainen, Kamui Kobayashi) or rookies from GP2 (Marcus Ericsson, Alexander Rossi).

So, with the driver question still lingering, Caterham put out a series of cryptic – some might say humorous – tweets on the situation. They’re all linked below.
