Ferrari has launched the F14 T, a day after revealing the name of its 2014 challenger.
The launch follows McLaren’s official and Lotus’ unofficial reveal of their own cars, the MP4-29 and E22, respectively.
The nose structure remains the biggest point of contention by the designers.
Ferrari technical director James Allison told this writer at the United States Grand Prix in Austin last November that he thought one of the largest technical challenges to master on the new 2014 cars would be the front wing assembly.
Ferrari’s is a single nose assembly, swooping down from in front of the cockpit and forward. It’s distinctly different than either McLaren’s or Lotus’.
This is the car that the Scuderia hopes will launch either Fernando Alonso or Kimi Raikkonen to Ferrari’s first Driver’s Championship since 2007 (Raikkonen) and/or Constructor’s Championship since 2008.
