VIDEO: Massa vows to keep fighting after squandering pole

Williams’ Felipe Massa endured a bittersweet Austrian Grand Prix today, claiming his best finish of the year in fourth place but failing to convert pole position into a podium finish.

The Brazilian driver snatched pole away from teammate Valtteri Bottas in the dying moments of qualifying yesterday, and was hoping that it would propel him to a first race win in over five years.

However, it was not to be. Despite staying in the lead for the first stint of the race, he soon dropped back through the pit stops and eventually crossed the line in fourth place behind Bottas, Lewis Hamilton, and race winner Nico Rosberg.

Speaking to NBCSN’s Will Buxton after the race, Massa remained upbeat, saying that he was pleased with the team result.
