Ed Carpenter and Scott Dixon are Verizon IndyCar Series race winners and Indianapolis 500 polesitters.
They’ve also entered another club as of this Independence Day Friday: Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest judges.
In this day of sanctioned gluttony out on Coney Island in New York, before the pair race the Pocono INDYCAR 500 fueled by Sunoco on Sunday, Carpenter and Dixon turned in their team gear for judges’ shirts to determine how many hot dogs each one of this competitors put down.
We’ll update after the airing of the hot dog eating contest today to see if there was any aftermath.
