Before heading to Chicago for the start of the Chase for the Sprint Cup, the 16 drivers involved will be heading to points across North America for media activities on Wednesday.
“Chase Across North America” markets to be visited include all 10 with a Chase track plus six others – Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Mexico City, San Antonio, Tex., and Bristol, Conn.
Those visits in Toronto and Mexico City will mark the first time that Chase drivers have been placed outside the United States by NASCAR. Jeff Gordon will make the Toronto stop, while Carl Edwards is going south of the border.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be in La-La-Land, while Jimmie Johnson is heading for the Big Apple. Brad Keselowski, who claimed the No. 1 seed in the Chase with last Saturday’s win at Richmond, is on duty in Charlotte.
Here’s where the remainder of the Chasers are each going for Wednesday:
San Antonio, Tex. – Kurt Busch
Bristol, Conn. – Kevin Harvick
Chicago – Kyle Busch
New Hampshire – Kasey Kahne
Dover – Greg Biffle
Kansas – A.J. Allmendinger
Talladega – Joey Logano
Martinsville – Ryan Newman
Texas – Matt Kenseth
Phoenix – Denny Hamlin
Homestead-Miami – Aric Almirola
After their respective visits on Wednesday, they’ll all head to Chicago for Chase Media Day activities on Thursday. Following that, they’ll take part in a two-hour “Chase Grid Live” show on North Michigan Avenue in the heart of the Windy City.
