Next weekend, the FIA World Endurance Championship arises from its summer three-month break since the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Six Hours of Austin on Sept. 20.
The Saturday at Circuit of the Americas features the two-hour, 45-minute TUDOR United SportsCar Championship race, a several-hour break, and then the FIA WEC race as part of the Lone Star Le Mans race weekend.
But there’s more than just on-track activity for fans either this week or next in Austin.
A screening of Steve McQueen’s 1971 race classic “Le Mans” will occur tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 10 at 8:00pm at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar, Austin. More information is here.
Additionally, several concerts will take place on Saturday. Blue Oyster Cult will play Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Austin 360 Ampitheater on the COTA grounds. More information on that show and the rest of the activities are here.
