CFH Racing will make an announcement related to its 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series program on Wednesday, during a teleconference at 11:30 a.m. ET.
A team release has revealed the new CFH Racing logo, and also said that all three team owners Ed Carpenter, Sarah Fisher and Wink Hartman along with driver Josef Newgarden will be present on the call.
Smart money is on the team confirming its engine program for 2015, and signs are pointing to Chevrolet being the choice over Honda.
Carpenter’s team was the lone single-car Chevrolet IndyCar outfit in 2014, while Fisher’s Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing squad was one of several single-car Honda outfits.
A multi-car CFH Chevrolet outfit would strengthen Chevrolet’s overall lineup, as the two-car CFH squad would join the three cars from Team Penske, the four from Chip Ganassi Racing and the projected two from KV Racing Technology.
It’s doubtful, but not impossible, at this early stage in the offseason that CFH would be able to name another driver alongside Newgarden, who is confirmed for a full season, and Carpenter, who will again drive the oval races.
