Formula 1’s final run to the end of the season begins this weekend in Singapore as Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton continue their fight for the 2014 drivers’ championship.
Both have impressive records at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, but they will be keen on making a good start to their weekend during the first free practice session today in Singapore.

The Singapore Grand Prix is one of just two night races in Formula 1, meaning that the F1 paddock must adjust their timings to take this into account. Ordinarily, this leaves drivers going to bed at 6am and getting up in the middle of the afternoon – it’s like going back to college!
For FP1 though, there is still some daylight in Singapore, making the session less representative of the conditions we see during qualifying and the race. Nevertheless, it should give us some kind of idea of the pecking order for the race around the city streets, which is one of the most demanding on the calendar.

Please note that there will be no commentary from the NBCSN team for this session, but it will instead purely be the FOM world feed.
