Ahead of qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix later today, the F1 field will get its last chance to get to grips with the cars and the ever-evolving Marina Bay Street Circuit in the final practice session.
Lewis Hamilton appears to be the man to beat after he closed out Friday as the quickest driver, but with teammate Nico Rosberg and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso snapping at his heels, he will be hoping to find an extra few tenths in FP3 as the sun sets in Singapore.

While Hamilton managed to finish fastest in FP2 yesterday, Rosberg was less fortunate, coming home down in 13th position. However, this was not by his own design, with a red flag period for Pastor Maldonado’s shunt causing the German driver to abandon his fast lap and focus purely on his long run pace.
Over the long runs, it appears to be very close between Hamilton and Rosberg, suggesting that they will battle it out closely on-track on Sunday. However, Hamilton has rightly stressed the importance of pole position in Singapore, given that four of the six races at Marina Bay have been won from first place on the grid. That score will be settled later today in qualifying, which is live on CNBC from 9am ET.
The final few minutes of FP3 are prime time for the drivers to put in their qualifying simulation runs, which should give us an idea of who will be in the mix for pole position.
