NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams will have to come to grips with widespread changes thanks to the new 2015 rules package, which was released to them this afternoon.
NASCAR AMERICA will have all the details today at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN. If you can’t watch on TV, STREAM IT online and on your mobile device through NBC Sports Live Extra.
As part of today’s show, NBCSN’s Marty Snider will talk with NASCAR executive vice president Steve O’Donnell about what compelled NASCAR to make these changes and what results they hope to see with them.
Also, NASCAR on NBC analyst Jeff Burton got to test the new package a few weeks ago and will be on today to share his thoughts about what kind of racing we should expect to see in 2015.
Here’s what else is on tap:
– Today at Charlotte Motor Speedway, defending Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson briefly traded in his No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet for a World War II era tank.
Following that fun exercise, our own Kelli Stavast caught up with him to talk about Sunday’s Challenger Round finale at Dover and his prospects for a record-tying seventh Cup championship.
– We’ll also listen in on all the best radio bits from last weekend’s chaotic Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire in our latest edition of “Scan All 43.”
If you plan to stream, be sure to have your username and password from your cable/satellite/telco provider handy so your subscription can be verified. Once you plug those pieces of information in, you’ll have access to the stream.
Again, STREAM at 5 p.m. ET to watch NBCSN’s NASCAR AMERICA.
