Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg’s F1 championship fight heads to the legendary Suzuka Circuit this weekend for the Japanese Grand Prix, where many a score has been settled over the years.

Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Mika Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher have all won world titles in the shadow of the circuit’s famous ferris wheel, and although neither Lewis nor Nico can be crowned champion this weekend, with just five races to go, this race will play an important part in deciding the destination of the drivers’ championship.
The weekend could be overshadowed by an incoming typhoon, though. Typhoon Phanfone is moving towards Japan from the Pacific, and could yet prompt the race promoters to change the start time for the race on Sunday. Either way, a wet race is almost guaranteed, which will only intensify the battle at the front.
The likes of Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas will all be hoping to get in the fight for a podium finish, and could yet vie for an unlikely race win if the weather does rain on Mercedes’ parade.
All in all, it makes for a thrilling weekend as the 2014 F1 season begins to draw to a close.
