Toyota Racing’s home race for the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship season, next weekend at Fuji in Japan, will feature a slightly revised lineup for both of its Toyota TS040 Hybrids.

World Championship leaders Anthony Davidson and Sebastien Buemi will run on their own in the No. 8 car, with regular teammate Nicolas Lapierre unable to compete this weekend citing personal reasons.

“Nicolas is taking a break due to his personal circumstances and the team will support him during this period,” team president Yoshiaki Kinoshita said in a team release. “This was a decision we have taken together. Our driver line-up is close to completion for 2015 and beyond, and Nicolas remains a long-term member of our team.”

Perhaps strangely, reserve driver Mike Conway isn’t being called up to replace Lapierre with his unavailability.

The driver Conway did fill in for at Austin – Kazuki Nakajima – returns alongside Alexander Wurz and Stephane Sarrazin in the No. 7 entry for his home race. Nakajima had another race commitment on the Austin weekend.
