It’s Monday, it’s Chase time, and that means a special one-hour edition of NASCAR AMERICA coming at you today at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
In case you can’t be near a TV, you can also STREAM IT online and on your mobile device through NBC Sports Live Extra.
We’ll have a full recap and analysis of Sunday’s Contender Round opener at Kansas Speedway, which saw Joey Logano earn his second win of the Chase, a trip to the Eliminator Round, and the chance to not worry about having his season go to pieces in a crash at Talladega in two weeks.
Also on tap:
- Marty Snider reports from Hendrick Motorsports after all four of their Chasers suffered through a rough afternoon in Kansas. With three of them – Kasey Kahne, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Jimmie Johnson – now below the Eliminator Round cutoff, HMS must now rebound next weekend at Charlotte to keep their championship hopes alive.
- USA Today writer and NASCAR on NBC contributor Nate Ryan has more on the tire issues that helped ruin several afternoons, including those of Earnhardt and fellow title threat Brad Keselowski (Team Penske). How will tire manufacturer Goodyear choose to respond?
- NBCSN’s Kelli Stavast travels to Joe Gibbs Racing headquarters and discusses how the team was able to perform well on Sunday. Kyle Busch scored his best-ever Cup finish at Kansas with a third-place showing, while Denny Hamlin earned a steady seventh.
- We’ll also see what lies ahead for top Sprint Cup rookies Kyle Larson and Austin Dillon. Larson again threatened to win his first Sprint Cup race before finishing behind Logano and Dillon picked up a Top-10 result with an eighth.
