As the F1 paddock continues to send its prayers and support to Jules Bianchi and his family following his accident at last weekend’s race in Japan, the on-track action is set to get back underway today with first practice for the Russian Grand Prix.

A number of drivers will be running with messages of support for Bianchi on their car and helmet as he remains in a critical condition in hospital. In reality, this weekend’s race is secondary in everyone’s minds.

American driver Alexander Rossi had been on standby to substitute for Bianchi in Russia, but the team has confirmed that it will only run with one car this weekend.

FP1 will give the drivers a first chance to get to grips with the new Sochi Autodrom circuit, which welcomes Formula 1 for the first time in 2014. This in fact marks the first Russian Grand Prix in 100 years, and looks to be a great event.
