After a three-week break, the 2014 Formula 1 season enters its final leg as we head to Austin, Texas for the United States Grand Prix.
In just three years, the event has become a firm favorite on the calendar among fans, drivers, teams and for the F1 community as a whole. The mix of a fantastic circuit, a great facility and some incredibly passionate fans are the ingredients for a superb race weekend.
The on-track action kicks off at COTA today with the first free practice session, which is live on Live Extra from 11a ET. CLICK HERE to watch via live stream.
Lewis Hamilton will be hoping to extend his championship lead this weekend, and is chasing a fifth consecutive victory as he enjoys being in the form of his life. His record in the United States is an impressive one, having been victorious on two out of three occasions.
His teammate and championship rival Nico Rosberg knows that anything but a win this weekend could kill off his hopes of a first F1 world title. The German driver has seemed rattled ever since the Hungarian Grand Prix back in July, having not won a grand prix in almost four months.
Besides the fight between the Silver Arrows at the front, Red Bull and Williams will most probably be duking it out for the final podium position. However, with Fernando Alonso continuing to fight in his final few races for Ferrari, the Spaniard is not to be discounted at COTA.
The first indication of the pecking order will come in FP1 at COTA, so be sure to join us live on Live Extra from 11a ET today. CLICK HERE to watch via live stream.
