Force India reserve Daniel Juncadella will have his third crack at FP1 this year at Brazil this weekend; he’ll step into Sergio Perez’s chassis for the session. He’s previously driven at Silverstone and Monza.
“The fact that I know the track and that I’m not new to the team anymore will definitely be two positive elements that will allow me to focus on my driving and on doing the best job possible for the team straight away,” Juncadella said, via the official Formula One website.
The Spaniard scored two podium finishes in Formula BMW in Brazil in 2008.
Force India is yet to confirm Perez alongside Nico Hulkenberg for 2015, but is expected to in due course – Perez said at Austin this past weekend he is expecting to continue. He’ll face a seven-spot grid penalty this weekend for contact with Adrian Sutil in the race at Austin.
