The GP2 season finale in Abu Dhabi will see American Conor Daly back for the first time since Belgium, back in the seat at the Lazarus team for which he competed in the first eight weekends of the season.
Daly announced the move via his Twitter page this morning:
He also recently raced in a Lamborghini Gallardo LP570 Super Trofeo car over the weekend, to shake off the cobwebs of a couple months. He scored his only GP2 points of the year at Hungary, with a seventh place.
Daly is still working towards finding a full-time ride in the Verizon IndyCar Series for 2015, but will no doubt look to turn some heads at Abu Dhabi. It’s a track where he was very fast in preseason testing before being contacted and pitched into a roll by Facu Regalia.
