Homestead offers race fans free trolley rides to national parks

If you’re heading to Homestead-Miami Speedway for this weekend’s season-ending racing action and have some spare time on your hands, check this out.

According to the City of Homestead, race fans that want to experience some local scenery can catch a special trolley ride from the racetrack to the Biscayne and Everglades national parks.

The price sure is right: it’s free. All rides are round-trip.

The Homestead National Parks Trolley will leave from the HMS RV parking lot to Everglades National Park at 9 am ET and 1:54 pm ET.

Similar trips will depart for the Biscayne National Park at 10:30 am ET and 1:20 pm ET.

Homestead vice mayor Stephen Shelley is encouraging race fans to take one of the trolley rides so they can “get a taste of something they normally wouldn’t get to see.”
