ABU DHABI – As the 2014 Formula 1 season prepares¬†to wind down this weekend, the pressure is still high at the front of the field as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg embark on their final showdown for the drivers’ championship in Abu Dhabi.

Hamilton heads into the last race of the year with a 17 point advantage, but with double points on offer for the final race of the year at Yas Marina, he still needs a top two finish to be sure of the title. The Briton will be hoping to start as he means to go on in first practice, which kicks off the on-track action in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

The weekend so far has been dominated by off-track news following the confirmation of Sebastian Vettel’s move to Ferrari for 2015. The four-time world champion will race alongside Kimi Raikkonen at Maranello, replacing the outgoing Fernando Alonso.

However, with a number of drivers still yet to confirm where they will be racing this year, this weekend’s race in Abu Dhabi provides them with one final chance to impress on-track in a bid for a seat.
