The SPEED Energy Formula Off-Road Presented by TRAXXAS championship, featuring Robby Gordon’s Stadium SUPER TRUCKS, will have a busy 2015 schedule.
The series will run with the Verizon IndyCar Series at least four times, and possibly five depending on the location of a race in Texas June 5-7.
The confirmed IndyCar weekends are at St. Petersburg (adding to an already stacked weekend schedule) in March, Long Beach in April, Detroit in May and Toronto in June. All four weekends has the SST vehicles there this past year.
Texas is the wild card. IndyCar races at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth on Saturday night June 6. While the dates haven’t been officially confirmed yet, another edition of the X Games in Austin would fall on the same weekend based on its 2014 weekend.
Other events include a trip to Australia with the Australian V8 Supercars in Adelaide, February 26-March 1, and West Coast standalone events in San Diego, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Per the series, all 10 races will again be broadcast on a major sports network in 2015, with the broadcast partner and specific air times and dates to be announced later.
“This schedule allows us to continue to bring off-road racing to the masses,” Gordon said. “We have built SST races to be great family events and these venues also allow our teams, drivers and sponsors to connect directly with some of the most enthusiastic sports fans in the world.”
