Yesterday saw Ferrari announce a technical staff shakeup where longtime team members Pat Fry and Nikolas Tombazis are out of the team.
Today the staff departures continue with the news Hirohide Hamashima, Ferrari’s longtime tire specialist, also headed for the exits.
A statement from Scuderia Ferrari confirmed his exit: “Hirohide Hamashima, currently responsible for tyre performance analysis, will leave the Scuderia at the end of the year.”
Hamashima was a large asset to Ferrari during the Bridgestone years, when Ferrari was the top team with that manufacturer. The Ferrari has not been the best car at any point since Pirelli re-entered the sport in 2011.
