After falling short of a record-tying seventh NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship, Jimmie Johnson and his Hendrick Motorsports team are no doubt working on how to get the most out of the 2015 rules package so they can get a fast start next season.
But perhaps Johnson needs to work on his fuel-saving game, too.
Seriously, though, we’ve all been where Johnson was this morning – trying to get somewhere with a dangerously low level of fuel in our car and thinking “Hey, we can make it” just before we come to a complete halt on the road.
It can happen to anybody. Even one of the greatest stock car drivers on the planet. And so it went earlier today…
But hey, better now than in February at Daytona, right?
