The moving of jobs in Formula One for 2015 isn’t just limited to the driver market.
Per BBC reporters Jennie Gow and Andrew Benson, key engineers for 2014 World Champion Lewis Hamilton and two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso are on the move for 2015.
Hamilton’s senior performance engineer Jock Clear will leave Mercedes AMG Petronas and appears headed for Ferrari.
A Clear confirmation at Ferrari would add to the recent personnel changes at Maranello, as several high level staffers are out at year’s end including Pat Fry, Nikolas Tombazis and most recently, Hirohide Hamashima.
Meanwhile it appears as though Alonso’s Ferrari race engineer Andrea Stella will come with him to McLaren, although in what official role remains to be determined.
The Clear departure seems more a surprise than the Stella one, given the Ferrari swath of changes currently going through there.
