The Indianapolis 500 may be the greatest spectacle in racing. But the Dakar Rally may be racing’s greatest adventure.
The 2015 Dakar (Jan. 4-17) will begin and end in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In between, competitors will tackle a 5,600-mile course that will also go through Chile and Bolivia.
And along the way during this 2015 edition, all four classes – cars, trucks, quads, and bikes – will face marathon stages, where drivers cannot use their assistance teams to help them.
Endurance, bravery, and determination are the essential qualities of every Dakar driver and team. But those qualities will all be severely tested in this incredible event.
NBCSN will broadcast daily highlights of the Dakar starting Monday, Jan. 5 at 4:30 p.m. ET. But for now, check out this hype trailer from the ASO organizing body that really gets you going for what lies ahead in South America.
