Michael Johnson doesn’t have a unique name – but he does have a unique story.
The paralyzed driver completed his first year in the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires this season, using a car modified with hand controls. He had raced in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda prior to that (shown right).
And now, Johnson’s story has lit up the NASDAQ Tower in New York City.
See the social thread below where Johnson said he hopes to have his story highlighted, NASDAQ picked it up, and IndyCar hailed the moment.
