The Sahara Force India launch is underway in Mexico City, home of one of its drivers Sergio Perez.
Our NBC Sports Group F1 insider and pit reporter Will Buxton and producer Jason Swales are down on site and will have more info here on MotorSportsTalk throughout the day as the car is revealed.
We now have a livery and official photos! The livery now features silver to go along with the black and orange that were prominent in 2014.
Here’s more on the livery itself and car design. Beyond partners Smirnoff, Kingfisher, Claro and Telcel, NEC branding has also been announced. NEC will appear on the engine cover with Claro and Telcel, to signal the beginning of a relationship with the global ICT firm based in Tokyo, Japan.
As for the VJM08 itself, Force India has sought to improve upon the chassis that brought it its greatest ever points haul in 2014. Obvious changes will go to the lowering of the front of the chassis and nose.
“The front of the car looks very different from what we had developed previously,” Technical Director Andrew Green said in a release. “It is a redesign that involved a lot of work over the winter, as the new regulations caused a loss in terms of downforce and we’ve been working to claw back all that performance.”
