After a whirlwind NASCAR Media Tour, the sport is now set to enjoy a night of celebration in honor of five of its greatest legends.

Fred Lorenzen, Rex White, Wendell Scott, Joe Weatherly, and Bill Elliott will all be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame this evening in Charlotte. We’ll bring you live interviews and red carpet arrivals from the Hall in a one-hour edition of NASCAR AMERICA, today at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra.

Chip Ganassi Racing driver and former Daytona 500 champ Jamie McMurray will join the NASCAR AMERICA team today, as they take a closer look at the careers of all five inductees.

Today’s show also features a preview of the NASCAR Gridiron Challenge presented by Toyota, in which six retired NFL greats teamed up with six of Toyota’s top NASCAR drivers. Plus, we’ll continue our countdown to the 2015 Daytona 500 – now just 23 days away.

Hall of Fame coverage begins on NBCSN tonight at 7 p.m. ET with a one-hour special, followed by the induction ceremony itself at 8 p.m. ET and the premiere of Gridiron Challenge at 10 p.m. ET.
