2014 was a record-breaking season for Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg’s on-track battle may have been the main story of last year, but the team effort saw the German marque claim 16 wins, 18 pole positions and, put simply, produce one of the most dominant performances in F1 history.
In this video, Rosberg and Hamilton look to the season ahead, plus you can check out what the new Mercedes W06 Hybrid will look like in footage from yesterday’s filming day at Silverstone.
Hamilton has already sent out a warning shot to Mercedes’ rivals, believing that the team still has a great deal of room for improvement in 2015, but on a personal level the Briton will be looking to up his game in his bid for a third world championship.
For Rosberg, 2015 is all about bouncing back from his gut-wrenching title defeat in Abu Dhabi last year. The German driver won the inaugural FIA Pole Trophy, but could convert just three of his eleven starts from pole position into a race win. This season, if he can follow up his Saturday form in the race, he could give Hamilton a stiffer challenge from across the garage.
Seconds out, round two…
