As expected, Lotus was unable to do much in the way of full-scale running on Monday, but was still able to collect some data and bank some laps on the second day of F1’s first preseason test at Jerez.
Pastor Maldonado completed 41 laps in the now Mercedes-powered, E23 chassis. Lap times are basically irrelevant here, and a drivetrain issue stopped Maldonado before the end of the day’s running.
