UPDATED: #AirJosef: Newgarden dunks with Pacers Power Pack (VIDEO)

If it seems like we’ve been writing a lot about Josef Newgarden lately… you’re right. We have.

But the Tennessee native is in full swing on the promotional and athletic circuits for the Verizon IndyCar Series lately, and it’s been cool to watch.

Earlier this month, he was in New Orleans with several other IndyCar drivers for Mardi Gras. He’s released two on-board videos, one from testing at Sebring, and one standard “offseason day in the life.” He has a new month of May sponsor for CFH Racing in Century 21.

He and fellow young gun Sage Karam took part in the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

And now, Newgarden is getting his dunk on.

Newgarden practiced with the Indiana Pacers “Power Pack” last week, as the group of dunkers gathered to see whether Newgarden would be part of the halftime show at Friday’s Pacers-Cleveland Cavaliers game. Newgarden’s moves are up for review in the above video.

Friday night, he was up to the task.

See a number of photos and videos linked below, of Newgarden’s night on the court actually dunking at a game.
