This week kicks off NBC Sports Group’s 2015 coverage of the Formula 1 season, and it opens with a special one-hour film called “Mercedes F1: Race to Repeat.” The show premieres this Thursday, March 5 at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
The hour-long film goes behind the scenes as never before with the star-studded Mercedes AMG Petronas team, giving a unique insight into their bid to retain the double World Championship this year, following their dual Constructors’ and Driver’s Championships a year ago.
World Champion Lewis Hamilton and teammate Nico Rosberg take viewers on a VIP tour inside the Mercedes factory in Brackley. Meanwhile Niki Lauda, Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe all also each offer interesting insights. Sir Stirling Moss and Damon Hill also make guest appearances.
Two teaser clips are included within this post. The first, linked above, is a look inside the goal of repeating this year, while also paying tribute to Mercedes-Benz’s own history in the sport. The second, linked below, sees various Mercedes team members attempt to guess how many parts make up an F1 car.
