Tequila Patron ESM’s entry into the FIA World Endurance Championship will not only feature two new HPD ARX-04bs, but a new primary sponsor at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in Rolling Stone.
French laws prohibit alcohol sponsorship, so this works as a one-of-a-kind one-off opportunity for Rolling Stone and RollingStone.com to feature prominently on the team’s pair of LMP2 cars. The team will appear in a short film and accompanying story for RollingStone.com and Rolling Stone magazine.
“This unique partnership brings together the top name in luxury spirits, the most recognized voice of music and popular culture, and the pinnacle of motorsport competition. We’re enormously excited that the Tequila Patrón ESM coupes will fly the iconic Rolling Stone logo at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe track in Le Mans, France this summer,” said Lee Applbaum, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Patrón Spirits International.
A Patron-liveried car last appeared at Le Mans in 2010, when Highcroft Racing ran a previous generation HPD ARX-01c in LMP2 and replaced the Patron signage with Malaria No More.
