Getting to Melbourne will serve as Manor Marussia F1 Team’s biggest achievement this weekend, because due to various issues the team have not turned a single lap in any official Australian Grand Prix session.
As a result, and for its not sending an official notice to the FIA for its absence in qualifying, the team has now been summoned to the stewards and asked to provide an official confirmation.
A statement distributed to media in the Melbourne regarding Manor’s absence reads as follows:
“A team representative is required to report to the Stewards at 20:00.
“The Stewards request that you provide a written statement explaining why the team did not participate in Qualifying for the 2015 Australian Grand Prix after receiving a letter from the FIA on the 20th February.”

Veteran F1 reporter Adam Cooper, who’s moved back to the circuit after chronicling the Giedo van der Garde/Sauber contract story the last few days, wrote that nothing will be issued on Manor until Sunday morning:
Although Manor won’t be present, you can watch the rest of those competing in the 2015 Australian Grand Prix live on NBCSN and Live Extra from 12:30a ET tomorrow.
