IndyCar: GP of NOLA entry list includes Karam, several sponsor updates

The entry list for this weekend’s Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana, Round 2 of the Verizon IndyCar Series season, will again feature a 24-car grid with both Sage Karam and Simona de Silvestro confirmed to race for their second consecutive event.

Both were initially confirmed only for St. Petersburg, although de Silvestro has now had NOLA and the Indianapolis 500 confirmed separately with Andretti Autosport.

Karam will continue into NOLA in the No. 8 Comfort Revolution/Big Machine Records Chevrolet for Chip Ganassi Racing teams. GE LED had been the primary sponsor at St. Petersburg.

In other entry notes:

  • Stefano Coletti and Sebastien Bourdais will be in different liveried entries for KV Racing Technology and KVSH Racing, respectively, after both have been revealed as of Tuesday.
  • Scott Dixon’s No. 9 Target Chevrolet will adopt Brita logos and signage this weekend, which would switch up the livery on its car.
  • Graham Rahal will have his race with D-A Lubricant primary sponsorship, and see the No. 15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda shift from orange to yellow.
  • Marco Andretti’s No. 27 Chevrolet is listed with Merchant First support alongside that of Dr Pepper Snapple.
